MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Friends, Supporters, and Music Lovers,
As we prepare to turn the page into a new artistic chapter, I am thrilled to invite you to join the Connecticut Choral Society for our 2026 season:
From Darkness to Light, From Memory to Radiance.
This theme is more than a poetic title—it is a reflection of our shared human journey and a celebration of the enduring power of music to illuminate, to remember, and to renew. Each concert in our season has been curated with intention, weaving a narrative of hope, resilience, and transformation. From the deep solace of Brahms’ German Requiem to the celestial joy of Poulenc’s Gloria, and the visionary call to transcendence in Vaughan Williams’ Toward the Unknown Region, our season offers both sanctuary and inspiration.
Alongside these landmark performances, we look forward to presenting intimate musical experiences, community collaborations, and events that bring the arts closer to the lives of those we serve. As ever, our mission remains rooted in musical excellence, cultural enrichment, and community connection.
This is your invitation—
To hear music that moves you.
To be part of something greater than yourself.
To join a circle of voices united not only in harmony, but in purpose.
Whether you attend a single concert or embrace the full season, your presence matters. Your applause, your encouragement, and your belief in the power of the arts fuel everything we do. If you are a singer with a calling to create, we welcome you to audition. If you are a supporter of the arts, we invite you to stand with us through your generous gifts, sponsorships, and advocacy. And if you simply love to listen—we promise to give you something unforgettable to hear.
On behalf of our Artistic Director Eric Dale Knapp, the Board of Directors, and the entire CCS family, thank you for being a vital part of our story. Together, let us make this season not only memorable—but meaningful.
With warmest regards and deepest gratitude,
Jill Heidel
