At the Connecticut Choral Society (CCS), we believe that powerful music is made not only by talent—but by heart, dedication, and a shared commitment to beauty.
Since 1980, CCS has grown into one of the premier symphonic choruses in the region. With over 75 auditioned singers from more than 20 towns across Connecticut, we are an ensemble of teachers, physicians, engineers, artists, students, and professionals—brought together by the joy of choral singing at the highest level. We are proud to be Western Connecticut’s premier symphonic chorus, known for our vibrant artistry, our regional and international performances, and our mission to bring transformative music to our community.
We are now inviting new singers to audition for our 2026 season.
Whether you are:
A professional musician or trained vocalist looking to engage with major choral works, an avocational singer with strong choral experience and a desire to collaborate at a high artistic standard, or someone returning to singing after time away, ready to reawaken your voice—YOU are welcome here.

Our upcoming season, “From Darkness to Light, From Memory to Radiance,” features profound works by Brahms, Vaughan Williams, Poulenc, and contemporary composers who speak to the moment we live in now.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions are open to all voice parts and are held by appointment. The first step is to complete the online registration form by clicking here. We will confirm receipt of your application and contact you to schedule a time slot for an audition with our Artistic Director and Conductor Eric Dale Knapp. Each audition includes vocalization, basic sight-reading, and a brief prepared piece (classical or sacred preferred, but not required).
Auditions will be held at: Valley Presbyterian Church, 21 West Whisconier Road, Brookfield, CT on Monday evenings prior to rehearsal.
